I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: [Br]eaking [Ba]ld

In February 2014 my mother, Jillian Potts was diagnosed with cancer. I promised her I would shave my head to support her with the side effects of chemotherapy but her battle ended a week after her first treatment, before her hair had fallen out. She was only 56 years old. I haven't cut my hair since so it's ridiculously long (and I'm completely fed up with it) but I have had long hair my entire life and I can't think of a better reason to finally be free of it!!
For me, this is about keeping a promise to my mom but if I can also raise money to fund research that will one day find a cure or even support & inspire any person or family who are going through what we did last year then that’s truly winning. Please help me achieve my goal by supporting this very worthy cause and make my baldness count!
I will also be donating 20 inches of my hair to Locks of Love, a non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. (www.locksoflove.org).
Also in loving memory of my other family members taken from us far too soon by this awful disease, my Nana, Grandfather also my gorgeous cousin (and fellow lover of chocolate) Lynsey Scott. We miss you x
