I am Joel’s glorious beard.
Once a stubbly chorus, silenced by the razor in an ode to vanity, I have come far from my humble beginnings. Overcoming adversity and rising to prominence, I'm a chorus girl no more. I am now the star of Joel’s face.
With my notoriety has come the double-edged sword of accolades and criticism. Until now, I've merely shrugged at those who have wished for my disappearance. However, I have finally found a worthy call to step out of the limelight. Every 3 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer. With each delivery of this terrible news, many lives are changed forever. I want my last hurrah to be one that helps.
I, Joel’s beard, will be taking my swan song on March 7th at McMullan’s Irish pub. I will take the stage and face the clippers in hopes of becoming more than a beard: I want to be part of a cure for childhood cancer. Please donate… Every dollar counts.
Your friend in the fight,
