It is time for me to shave again! This will be the fourth time I am shaving my head to stand in solidarity with those fighting cancer. Very little is known about the best way to fight cancer in children. St. Baldrick's Foundation is working to change that.
My choice to shave is not just about the kids. It is also in support and acknowledging all those I have met and seen battle cancer in my life. This includes my relatives who have lost their battle with cancer, those who battled and won, and those who are currently battling (Aunt Karen and Rashida, I love you both!). It is also about the kids I met when I started this journey 5 years ago in Portland at the Children's hospital, who tried to be strong, but at times just wanted to let go. Lastly, it is about my nephews and the other babies, toddlers, students I love and spend my days with. I have been blessed to not have a nephew or child not have to face cancer, but I know that luck will probably not hold out for my entire life. I want to know that we are moving forward in this battle
Please join me in helping make a difference in the lives of children and adults everywhere with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!

And I will hopefully have pictures up soon! Anyone in Albuquerque have a camera I can use?
