I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: The Bald Avengers

Superhero journal entry, 2/2/15. While battling evildoers today, I got a mouthful of hair just as I was delivering some witty banter. It's longer than it's ever been, so sometimes my hair gets caught in car doors or backpack straps. It's a lot like wearing a cape, actually.

On March 14th, 2015, I'm shaving it off. The beard too. I might look pretty silly fighting crime without it, but for thousands of kids with childhood cancers, they don't have a choice. As if cancer weren't scary enough, hair loss from chemotherapy treatments can rob kids of their identity, their youth, and their smile. I'm shaving my head because I look up to the strength and courage of these young heroes. Someday I hope to be just as brave as they are every day.
Even now, our top research scientists are developing brilliant new treatments, but funding is always limited. Please consider donating to my super-team, The Bald Avengers, and join us as we fight to build a future free from the villainy of childhood cancers!
