Cancer is no joke. Over the course of my few years at Albany Medical College, I have had the chance to meet many kids with cancer. Each child has a story of where they have been and each has aspirations and dreams of things they want to do. Next to each of child, stands parents who continually ask themselves why this is happening to them and what their child did to deserve it. The most incredible attribute of these children is their willpower to fight for just the chance for a cure.
The most physical attribute to a cancer kid undergoing chemotherapy treatment is the loss of his/her hair. It is the distressing nature of the beast. I have vowed to have my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you so much.
