It's already a well-established fact that I will do (and have done) seemingly crazy things. Shaving my head to raise money to fight cancer? Absolutely. It's just hair, right?
I should make this clear - I'm not doing this because I like to do crazy things. I'm doing this for the kiddos that have or have had cancer. I'm doing this because the little girl that I am honoring was 6 months younger than my son, Aaron. I'm also doing this in support of those near and dear to me that have had to lose their hair during chemotherapy. I didn't have childhood cancer, my own boys haven't fought that battle, and I am pretty sure that I don't know anyone that has had to endure and fight childhood cancer. But should that stop me from helping? I'm pretty sure these blessings are the very reasons that I should do it.
I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
