I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: MaxBet Media

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: MaxBet Media

I am amazed year after year at how caring and generous my friends are. Last year you all donated $27,397 for me to shave my head to support the St. Baldrick's Foundation and their fight against childhood cancers. Over the past 12 years you have donated $160,681 through my fundraising efforts and $354,625 total through the efforts of all of my Team MaxBet Media and Team #MEMORIES teammates.

For my 13th year of being a shavee I will once again join the amazing Brian and Lynn McMullan at McMullan's Pub in Las Vegas. Their one day shaving event last September was the top event in the country raising more than $400,000!  Please join us on Saturday September 9th at 1pm for the head shaving event.

With the support of Mike McKiski and Landon Jones last year we created Team MaxBet Media and recruited a team of 15 gaming industry executives who came together to raise $137,316!  This was the 2nd best total of any team in the country!!  This year Team MaxBet Media has a great mix of new and veteran gaming industry shavees ready to top last year's total.

Although we have changed the team name I don't want to forget about Team #MEMORIES, which was in honor of our friend Chris Pennewell who lost a battle with cancer a few years ago. He taught me how important life is and how important it is to make memories for yourself and for others. Let's help these kids to fight cancer and grow up to make memories for themselves and their families! #Memories

We all have family and friends who have fought this nasty disease. We all have family and friends who have lost the fight. We need to help them fight! As most of you know my Dad, Dan Ingster Sr., was an amazing person and the most important person in my life (until Melissa and Little Dan came along). He passed away November 21, 2011 from a form of cancer called Cholangiocarcinoma. 25 years prior my Grandmother, Lynne Ingster, passed away from cancer as well. My Dad was such a caring person that he usually took care of others before himself. He was very proud of me for shaving my head the first time for St. Baldrick's 13 years ago and I know that he would want me to do anything I can to support this organization for as long as I can.
