I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Griffin's Army

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Griffin's Army

I am a very proud Momma to Griffin J. Turley! My son is a miracle! A survivor! A warrior! He started battling stage 4 kidney cancer in April 2010. His treatment would last 52 weeks. He endured 14 different chemotherapy admissions, and 23 radiation therapies. THANK GOD he is now NED! (No Evidence of Disease) Griffin will be 16 in April 2015. He is my pride and joy! I stayed my his side through this entire journey and witnessed all that he had to suffer through. Endless "procedures", major surgeries, PICC placement, Port placement, needle sticks, painful bandage removals, severe nausea/vomiting, feeding tubes, extreme fatigue, MRI's, ultrasounds, emotional trauma, fears, missed over a year of school/church/friends, pills, pills, pills....but, he MADE IT! No Mother should ever hear that their precious child has cancer! I'm shaving my head on June 20th along with other Momma's that have heard those words. I'm shaving to honor my son, he didn't have that choice....I do. I'm shaving to raise awareness for pediatric cancer research. We need money to find cures for this evil disease! I'm shaving to take a strong stand against cancer and say you didn't win! I'm shaving to bring honor to the thousands of kids fighting right now! I'm shaving because I need to do something. Something to help stop cancer from taking anymore of our babies! Will you stand with me? Will you help us help these families? All I ask is that you open your heart, and donate what you can. Research is the key to stopping this nightmare. Thank you for your prayers and continued support! I believe in prayer. I believe in action. I believe we can beat cancer together! God Bless You!
