I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Why am I having my head shaved? To stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, who typically lose their hair during treatment. More importantly, I'm doing it to raise funds for childhood cancer research!

In the past four years I have visited Cancer Care Manitoba 12 times while under watchful waiting on my lymphoma. Each of these visits has been to a clinic that is combined with the Childrens Clinic. My heart breaks seeing these children and their families on this journey. They are brave fighters and their parents all have a determination to do what ever they can for their children. It reminds me of how blessed I have been having two strong, healthy children. I also wonder if I would have survived the journey that these parents are on.We must all do everything we can to give kids a better chance for a cure.
