On March 17, 2012, I am shaving my head to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money and fund the research for cures. Last year, two of my amazing friends participated in the St. Baldrick’s event, and I was inspired to do the same this time around. Both my paternal grandmother and my great-grandmother died from breast cancer when I was really young [less than 3 years old], and my grandmother was the Director of Administration at Children’s Hospital Oakland [so the venue really fit].
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Your donation will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
