I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: SigEp @ Georgia Tech

This is my fifth year shaving my head and raising money for childhood cancer research. I'd like to be able to use this platform to talk about my little brother who passed away from cancer four years ago. Ouni was only 15 years old when he passed away. He was loving, energetic, funny and an amazing younger brother and friend. We were very similar, so much in fact that we would always make the same witty comments and would argue about who said it first or who copied who. We were also very competitive and would play basketball for hours at a time. I never just took it easy on him while we were playing so he would practice on his own to get better and Ouni had to work harder than others. See Ouni had Albinism so his vision was very poor and he looked a little different from others because his hair was white and his skin was a little more pale. Yet that never held him back. He always worked harder than others to overcome these challenges, yet he never complained. He was finally starting to beat me when he was diagnosed with cancer. I think about him every day and I know I carry him with me, but I still miss him ever so much and wish I could see him beat me now. I participate in St. Baldrick's for Ouni my beloved little brother, but I also participate for all the other kids that have to fight every day against childhood cancer. The world was a brighter place with Ouni and with all these other kids who deserve to be here. I fight so no more families have to share this horrible story. So please join me in this fight and help anyway you can!
