When I was four years old, I saw a St. Baldrick's sign that read, "Be a hero!" I told my mom that I wanted to be a hero too, and that year she and I shaved our heads and raised $1,500. After that year our family has been involved in both shaving as well hosting events. This will be my 5th time shaving for St. Baldricks. Since my experience shaving, one thing I don't take for granted is my hair; children lose their hair during treatment and it is a very scary experience for them. I hope that the hair I shave gives the children fighting cancer the strength to keep fighting. When you donate you are funding the research to fight childhood cancer
Kids with cancer need our support now more than ever. St. Baldrick's is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, and the pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures.
Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. Research can change that, and I don’t want to let these kids down.
