My name is Erin, and I'm fighting childhood cancer in more ways than one.
I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma when I was 19 years old. I'll be 21 by the time I shave my head, and I'm still not finished with my fight. I've managed to stay in school, but I've been luckier than most. Every 3 weeks, I go for chemo, and I meet so many teens and young adults who've lost much more than their hair; they've lost out on moments the rest of us take for granted--getting their licenses, going to prom, moving away from home. I've doing all I can do to fight my own cancer; I'm ready to help my young friends take back their lives, too. To do that, we need to find a cure.
I'm having my head shaved to raise money to find cures for childhood cancers. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more childhood cancer research grants than any other organization. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults--like me--fighting childhood cancers.
Please help me help my friends fight back from cancer. Every little bit helps.
Thank you!
