I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

"I've answered the call to be a hero!" This is part of the automated message from St. Baldrick's but in reality, the children, the doctors, the families, etc. are the real heroes. All of these people show such great courage and strength; courage and strength that some people will never understand. I have seen families of friends whose lives have been changed because of childhood cancer. And without organizations like this, the grace and mercy of Christ, and people who specialize in cancer treatment, these friends could be living radically different lives. But the kids in these families are cancer free now! Which is more than many others can say. So many people and children have given SO much, and it is my turn to give back. These children are beautiful on the inside and out, with or without hair. And organizations and events like this help them to understand that, no matter what anyone else may say or do. Thank you!
