I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Saving Sarah

Hi Everyone!! My name is Ellie Fitzgibbons, I am in the 7th grade at Cairo-Durham Middle School in Cairo NY. and you heard it right - I'm shaving my head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research! I am honored to be a part of TEAM SAVING SARAH!! Sarah is the daughter of a good friend of my mom, a woman my mom has known for many years. I was at Sarah's baby shower. I want to show my support for Sarah and all children who have lost their hair to cancer, to show them that I care .... Help me to help them!! In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure. Well the big event is over but I raised my goal!! Thank you to everyone who helped me reach my original goal of FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS!! and then my extended goal of EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS!! I am raising my goald to FIFTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS!! Please keep giving!! I know we can all make a difference!! This is a cause that is close to my heart and the heart of so many around me. I will be posting some more pictures of the big event .. please check back and see how much fun we all had and check out my video of my hair shaving on youtube! You can find it by searching for sweetirishellie.
