I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hey there, gang! It's Dave again. I just wanted to start off this year's page with a humble word of thanks.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for your help over the last 10 years. In 2004, I participated in my first St. Baldricks Foundation fundraiser, having no idea that it would become this thing that I would still be involved with, and become so passionate about, that nearly a decade later I would decide to get a tattoo commemorating my involvement with raising money for children's cancer research on my arm, but I did! Never for a second have I ever thought that what we were doing here wasn't worth it. EVERYTHING THAT WE RAISE HERE MAKES A DIFFERENCE IN SAVING A CHILD'S LIFE! So, again, with that said, from the bottom of my heart... THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT! It means the world.

Now then...

Another year and another challenge to top what we did the year prior; only this year we're starting over... in California. (For those that don't know, this will be my first St. Baldricks fundraiser outside of Colorado!) If you're new to what we do here, you need to know that 2013 was the biggest year for us raising money (and me getting my head shaved) yet. By some kind of wild miracle, we (those that donate to my St. Baldricks page and me, the shavee) managed to shatter all other years prior's records and finished with a grand total of $3,075! To me personally, that's staggering! How a guy from Prattville, Alabama can raise that much money online is just amazing, but we did it! Somehow we did it. This year I want to try and beat that number, if only by a dollar; so I set this year's goal at $3,076! Baby steps, right?

ANYTHING THAT YOU CAN GIVE, WHATEVER YOU CAN GIVE, IS APPRECIATED! Please know, too, that ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE! So you can claim them as deductions when you do your taxes next year! Everyone wins... AND you get the satisfaction of knowing that you've done something to help combat the thief that is childhood cancer!

Thank you all again for all of the support that you've shown over the years, and God bless you all for your continued help in this very personal decision that we all continue to be a part of. You guys are all such blessings to me and you don't even realize it!
