I am shaving to raise money for childhood cancer research

Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?

Every 2 minutes, a child is diagnosed with cancer somewhere in the world – that’s 400,000 children each year! Did you know, 1 in 5 kids diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. won’t survive? For those who do, more than 96% have severe or life-threatening conditions by the time they are 50.

This is why I’m shaving my head on Saturday, 05 April 2005, to raise funds for childhood cancer research through the St Baldrick's Foundation. 15 years ago, I decided to make a difference by fundraising for the St Baldrick's Foundation. With your help, in my first 15 years, I’ve raised over $100,000. You can donate and learn more about their work by visiting my personal fundraising page at https://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/davewright2025

Whether you’ve been personally touched by childhood cancer, or you stand in solidarity with kids you don’t even know, please help me reach my fundraising goal to support pediatric cancer research!

Since 2005, St. Baldrick's has provided >$356 million to fund cancer research grants, the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants in the US and world. Every grant goes through a rigorous scientific review, ensuring the greatest possible impact for children with cancer by funding: new discovery research, translational research, clinical trials, and training the next generation of pediatric oncologists.

Thank you for your support!
