I've answered the call to be a hero! Actually, I'm just lazy. As much as I love seeing Sadie, I can't find the time for haircuts. About a year ago, Kate got sick of asking "Dude, what are you doing with your hair?" and suggested I grow it for St. Baldrick's. Unfortunately it was only a week or two before the annual Portland event, so I decided to wait a year. Although I've since joined a kick@$$ metal band and the hair actually makes sense, I'm sticking to the promise I've made to friends and family and I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. In addition, if I meet my personal goal of $1000 I'll shave the beard, too. That's just 100 people giving $10 each. Note to the Stout side of the family, that means I'd be clean-shaven for Symone's wedding a week later, hint hint.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
