I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you! For those of you who don't know me, let me introduce myself. I am a nine year old, third grader at St. Leonard's Catholic School. A friend of mine and one of my teammates, Matthew B., has been a shavee for the past few years. Seeing him participate in this event, has really made me want to get involved. When I asked my parents if I could participate, they were a little surprised since I am volunteering to shave my head! I told them, "it's only hair" and "it will grow back." I know there are several children who have no choice in the matter, and who lose their hair while fighting a battle with cancer. Some people think I am making a big sacrifice in shaving my head. I think this is a worthy cause and I am honored and proud to be able to participate. Please help me reach my fundraising goal and donate today! Thank You for your support! Sincerely, Claudia
