I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head to support childhood cancer research!

On April 9th I will be participating in the annual St. Baldrick's head shaving event to raise funds for childhood cancer research.
As many of you know, my son Justin was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia last March. Doctors made the diagnosis while he was battling for his life with acute liver failure. On March 31, 2015 he was given the ultimate gift of a new liver that saved his life. That gift allowed him to begin his next battle of beating childhood cancer.
Through the course of this last year our family has seen the many miracles that these children accomplish every day. But we have also seen the devastating effects cancer treatments have on these children and their entire family. Justin has fought bravely all year and I'm very proud of him. This is just my very small way to help raise funds to end this awful disease.
Currently only 4% of U.S. federal funding is solely dedicated to childhood cancer research. It's up to organizations like St. Baldrick's to help fill that funding gap. They are the largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants. Their mission is to find cures for all childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives.
So please help me raise funds for a cause close to my heart. Plus, keep your fingers crossed my hair grows back.
Thank You,
Chris
