I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

In honor of our daughter, Belén, I'm going Kojak and my wife, Leah, is going Britney Spears. Our heads will be shaved at the March 19th St. Baldrick's event at the Dell Children's Hospital Healing Garden. Belén was diagnosed with Infantile Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at 5 months old. We found out quickly that our little one is a warrior. We have a long road ahead of us and Belén has already had 70 days of chemo, 20 blood transfusions and 85 days in the hospital. She takes everything in stride (literally - because she just started walking!) and is an inquisitive, joyous and beautiful baby.

One of the positives of this experience is finding out about these wonderful events and meeting all the kids that this charity will help. Shout out to 4 North!! This is our first year participating and all our friends at the oncology clinic and hospital light up when they talk about this event.

We know from experience that Childhood and Infant cancer present many unique challenges and this volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Please donate to St. Baldricks (or another great charity, The Jimmy Fund) to help cure childhood cancers.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
