I am so excited about this opportunity. I came in this world bald so here we go. I love children! I work with children daily, I am a school bus driver and a cafeteria monitor within North Canton City Schools. So this venture is near and dear to me. You never know what is going on in people’s lives so be kind. My motto is to make at least one person smile everyday. I am asking you to help me reach and/or exceed my goal of $500. Thank you to my first donation of $100 from my nephew, Eric Jungels Jr.
Ladies and gentlemen it is now time to obliterate that said goal.
P.S. Some have asked why I would want to shave my head. Well the real reason is because my daughter Honorae has Hashimoto’s disease and has nodules in her thyroid. She has had 2 biopsies 2 times on these nodules to see if they were cancerous. Thank GOD they were benign. I have always thought, “what if”. What if she had cancer. As a mother, what would I do, if she, as a little girl had to go through chemo and radiation and lost all of her hair. Well the answer is I would shave my head so she wouldn’t feel awkward or different. I believe I was given this opportunity to make a difference, even if it is just a small part.
Thank you all that have given for your blessings to others in need.
I'm shaving my head with St. Baldrick's to raise money and help conquer kids' cancers! Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U.S. will not survive. I refuse to accept this reality, so I’ve decided to fundraise for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for kids.
Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive. Join me today and let’s #DFYchildhoodCancers together.
