In 2013 I decided to pursue a career as a nurse. I knew it would be hard, I knew it would be emotional, but I also knew it would be the best experience of my life. I am currently in my second year at Drexel University in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, and it was the best decision I ever made. In my clinical experience through Drexel’s program, I have had the opportunity to meet many patients with many disease processes. Something I have become particularly invested in is the treatment of cancer. I have furthered this interest through my volunteering with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and The American Cancer Society. I have found a passion for caring for, treating, and working with patients and families who have been affected by “the big C.”
Here you can check out the organization as well as my fundraising progress. If you have any questions about St. Baldrick’s, my fundraising project, or just want to say hello, please feel free to reach out. I would love to hear from you.
I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.
Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
