In memory of my niece, Katie, I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.
I heard an ad on the radio today when I was driving home from work. It sparked something. When I got home I told my hubbie that I was thinking of shaving my head bald to help fight childhood cancer. He said.."let me see are there any events coming up that I might be embarrassed to take you with?" I told him if I had cancer, I probably would be bald and would he be embarrassed of me then? He said of course not. And I said to myself...this is a no brainer...I am doing this!!!!
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
