I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Donna's Good Things

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Donna's Good Things

OK, kids, this is big! And I'm going to need a *lot* of help.

If I hit $100,000 smackeroos, I'm goin' bald! (Most of it will get lopped off for Locks of Love, and the rest will belong to St. Baldrick's.)

[ Here's a post I wrote, to tell you more about Donna: http://bethkujawski.blogspot.com/2011/11/bald-move.html .]

Some folks can't believe that I'm willing to shave my head to raise money for Donna's Good Things, but good things in Donna's name are worth it.

Yeah, my hair is kind of my thing, but it's hair. It'll grow back.

But the good things done with the money you help me to raise will have ripple effects I can only begin to imagine.

So let's do this! Tell everyone you know! All I want for Christmas are contributions to this cause. And maybe a hat. Chicago may well still be cold on March 24th.

Here's more background, courtesy of the St. Baldrick's folks:

I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
