Hello my friends and family -
As you can see I have decided to shave my head to help find a cure for childhood cancer. Cancer is the leading cause of death by disease for children in this country. Almost daily I come into contact with a family who is struggling with all that it means to have a child with cancer. When I see what they go through I am in awe of their strength and determination. It takes so much (especially in Alaska) to ensure a child gets the treatment they need. Shaving my head seems so small and insignificant compared to what families will endure during the lengthy treatment for childhood cancers. My own strength and determination was not tested in this way as I raised my son and I am so grateful.
Your donation will help me honor those who battle and win as well as those who battle and lose. Thank you!

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
