The children fighting cancer are my heroes. Their ability to stand in the face of this terrible disease and openly defy it defines courage to me. I am always touched by the stories of children battling cancer who are overjoyed to meet their favorite athlete or celebrity or to take a trip to a foreign country or vacation spot with family. The pure joy in their youthful faces is often overwhelming. My hope is that in the near future researchers can find a way to make these experiences a regular occurrence for these children by eliminating cancer from their lives. With your help, we can work toward this goal.
One of the many hardships these brave children face is hair loss resulting from chemotherapy. Consequently, I am shaving my head to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
