Dear Family & Friends,
I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So, I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.
Last year was my maiden voyage into fundraising for St. Baldrick's. By the overwhelming support of all of you, I was able to raise nearly $3500 in 2018! Our team captain, Matt Wieczorek (going into his 13th year of supporting this great cause), has once again recruited his brother, Jayson Gray, and myself, to get the band back together and raise monies for this very important cause. As a team, we were able to raise $10,000 last year and Matt has set our sights even higher this year at $15,000. We understand that this is a lofty goal but one that we are hopeful that our wonderful family and friends will be willing to get behind us and support!
As I explained last year, our support of St. Baldrick’s is near and dear to my heart as my family has been personally impacted by childhood cancer as we lost my brother, Nicholas, at the age of 11 to leukemia. He had been in remission, but the cancer returned, and he eventually lost his courageous battle in 1993. Cancer treatment continues to expand and improve, and it is my humble request that you think about a possible donation. Any donation, big or small, is more than appreciated and goes towards the fight to cure childhood cancers.
Again, our team goal this year is $15,000 of which, my personal goal is set at $5,000. I would once again love to be able to pull my weight on this team, as we support St. Baldrick's and this very worthy cause. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
My sincere thanks and appreciation,
Angelo Isgro – 2nd time shavee
