I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Emerson 8

What could be more important than saving the life of a child? I am participating in an event on March 8th to support the St. Baldricks Foundation! Our Emerson and Lincoln Middle Schools in District 64 have teamed up to fight childhood cancer.


At our event, some folks will shave their heads – and others like me will keep the hair we have and put our hearts into supporting childhood cancer research.


Research is hope for kids with cancer, but donations to find cures have been down since 2020. In 2019, I raised $242 with the help of family and friends. I even got pied in the face by one of my students, 7 months pregnant, to raise money for this awesome cause! This year, I reached my first goal of $300 and would like to raise $500 as a new goal! In 2019, our district raised over $400,000 and, this year, our district's goal is to raise $500,000! That's right, our District 64 has a half million dollar goal! Will you join me in this phenomenal goal?


Your gift will give kids hope by supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charitable funder of childhood cancer research grants.


Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? If you feel so inclined, it would be an honor to have you track my progress and/or donate. Thank you for your consideration!
