This is my 11th year as a Shavee, and I can't wait for the event! I'm having my head shaved again to stand in solidarity with kids being treated for cancer. But the real point of all this is to raise money for lifesaving research. You can support me with a donation for childhood cancer research!
Generous donors like you make it possible for the St. Baldrick's Foundation to continue funding the best research. As a volunteer-driven charity, St. Baldrick's keeps fundraising costs low and grants high.
More children are lost to cancer in the U.S. than any other disease in fact, more than many other childhood diseases combined. Before they turn 20, about 1 in 285 children in the U.S. will have cancer. In the 1950s, almost all kids diagnosed with cancer died. Because of research, today about 90% of kids with the most common type of cancer will live. But for many other types, progress has been limited, and for some kids, there is still little hope for a cure. I hope I can count your support to reach my fundraising goal.
BONUS: I'll photoshop either you or, if you are shy, myself into any picture you like. TAKE A LOOK AT THE LAST 11 YEARS OF DONOR ARTWORK BELOW. So consider making a donation and having the satisfaction of knowing you are a hero to a kid with cancer as well as a silly customized photoshop to show for it. Thank you!
