Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?
A challenge among friends 25 years ago has become the largest volunteer movement to Conquer Kids’ Cancer. This year, I’m joining thousands of others to shave my head to raise money for childhood cancer research!
Much like formatting a hard drive, the symbolism of shaving one’s head for fundraising efforts showcases the “clean slate” anyone wishes could be granted to childhood cancer patients or survivors. While this is something out of our control, something we do have in our power is the ability to aide children to be comfortable in their differences.
Your gift will give kids and their families hope, supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
Not only can this be a visual representation of patients/survivors/donors, every dollar donated conducts efforts for children to see the world with eyes that never knew Cancer.
Thank you for your support!
