I am helping to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Spread Aris Light

My younger sister, Arianna Dougan, passed away 7 years ago in November of 2017. She had Neuroblastoma, a type of childhood cancer. This is my 6th time raising money, and donating hair in her memory. #Spreadarislight

The National Cancer Institute —the government agency that is responsible for research and education— receives a $6.44 billion budget (2020). The NCI parses that budget to a lot of incredibly important projects. Every cancer sucks, and every cancer is deserving of research, but frankly, kids are getting ripped off. Only 4% of the NCI budget is directed to pediatric cancer. Yes, all pediatric cancers combined (brain cancer, leukemia, lymphoma, neuroblastoma, bone and tissue etc.).

I am doing my part to raise money for the future of these kids, Neuroblastoma is not a rare cancer, its not unheard of, and yet it still receives so little funding.

In addition to raising money I am donating my hair for the 6th time to children with hair loss, a non-for-profit organization that makes wigs for chemo patients who have lost their hair.
