Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s? Because your donation “on my head” will actually save lives.
Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (aka Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia) is a cancer of the bone marrow and blood. Without treatment, it can progress rapidly, and does not have a clear cause. While more common in boys, our experience hasn't exposed discrimination.
Not one, but two of my cousins have been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in their lifetimes. Collette, the first diagnosed and older of the two, is currently symptom free and attending college. Vaughn, Collettes younger brother, however, is still in treatment. I'm shaving my head for these two. Because they're strong. Because they fight. And because fundraising is the best way I (we) can help them. Your support will help Collette, Vaughn, and thousands of other children fight and beat cancer. Maybe one of these kids so affected will find the cure. Help me find out, your gift of any amount helps.
My hair hasn't been cut since 12/21/2021. Some love it: Donate for the good it's doing. Some hate it: Donate to encourage me to shave it. Looking for a charitable gift tax break? Where better to park it!? Whatever your reason, GIVE.
Kids with cancer need our support now more than ever. St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, and the pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures.
Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. Research can change that, and I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you so much!
