I'm shaving my head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research! In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure.

Thank you for your support!
A little background – I first became involved with this while working downtown, I saw numerous flyers up and they got me curious about the event. As I researched the foundation I couldn’t help but be moved by the stories of these children. I have a three year old daughter, and I am thankful everyday that she is healthy and happy. And while the work this foundation does is fantastic I hope she never has to rely on the research and support it provides. I haven’t personally known any children who had cancer, but I know what it’s like being in a family with members trying to fight through the disease. I lost my father to cancer when I was 6, and my mother to the disease just a few years ago when I was 25. For me, shaving my head not only shows my support and solidarity with these children, it’s a way for me to honor my parents.
