I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Sigma Lambda Gamma

Hi, my name is Veronica Rivera. I am a 3rd year Political Communications student at The University of Texas at Austin from a small city in the Rio Grande Valley (South Texas) known as San Benito. Having seen what cancer can do to our loved ones and even our loved ones' loved ones is something that tears at the heart. I know I have never been personally diagnosed with cancer, and was blessed to have had most of my my hospitalization's expenses covered by funding from others' initiatives. I simply wish I could say the same support was given to some of my family members, but the truth is I can't.

I know that this may only seem like a haircut, but it has the potential to do so much more for these deserving children. This is why I have decided to have my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation.

Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Any little bit counts! So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you! I will greatly appreciate this from the bottom of my heart!
