I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! HELP ME RAISE $500 AND COME WATCH ME GET MY HEAD SHAVED.
Cancer sucks, but it's especially heart breaking when it affects a kid who cannot understand why they are sick. I recently learned of a co-worker whose child is a cancer survivor. Yup, at the ripe age of 4, she has already gone through this. And because of a genetic disorder, she is at risk of developing more throughout her lifetime.
St. Baldricks donates 72% of each dollar to research organizations. 3% goes to administration (it takes lots of people to make this all happen), and 25% goes into fundraising (advertising, events)
Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.
Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
