I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Austin's Power

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Austin's Power

Having lost both my sons to cancer, Eric in 2008 and Austin last December, childhood cancer research is a cause that is very near and dear to me.  (That's Austin in the wheelchair with me, above.)

Other than the government, St. Baldrick's is the largest contributor to pediatric cancer research, with almost $180 million in research grants to date.  Childhood cancers vary from adult cancers in both cause and treatment, and more research must be done.

Team Austin's power will be shaving our heads to raise money for childhood cancer research.  If you can, please help us with a pledge.  If I can help one family to avoid going through the ordeal that my family endured, this will be a worthwhile endeavor.

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
