Dear Friends, Family, & Colleagues,
My fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon, is hosting our 8th annual fundraising event on April 24th, 2015 at the Drexel Recreational Center in support of the St. Baldrick's Foundation. The St. Baldrick's Foundation is the nation's largest volunteer driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers - giving survivors long and healthy lives. To raise money for this charity my fellow fraternity brothers and I are asking friends and family to support our fundraising event which consists of a head shaving of all volunteers showing solidarity to children with cancer.
This year will be my 5th time participating in the head shaving. I am writing you to ask for a donation to help my fraternity raise our overall goal of $60,000, and to help me raise my personal goal of $500. Whether you give a donation of $.01 or $100 - every penny counts and is that much closer to better treatment, or even a cure for pediatric cancer.
Every child should be able to live a full and healthy life. Every child has a dream - big or small, simple or spectacular. But too many dreams have been compromised in the lives of kids with cancer. Some kids are forced to find new dreams, while others' dreams are lost during a battle with cancer.
You heard it right - I'm shaving my head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research! In the U.S., more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure.

Thank you for your support!
Kind regards,
Peter H. Massey
