It’s that time again! This is my 13th year being involved with St Baldricks. You all know by now how special and important this event is for me. This year is even more special. I now work for The University of Chicago Hospital Crown Point. The summer of my senior year I was told I had non Hodgkins Lymphoma and was transported to U of C. Through more testing it showed I did not. I feel like I was given a 2nd chance at life. I am involved with St Baldricks to give back and to play a role in the fight against pediatric cancer. I’m very excited that this year’s event is at Red Cup in Chesterton. They have great coffee, muffins, and are amazing people always doing amazing things.
New bills this election year have just been passed that takes away funding for kids with cancer. St Baldricks is now the largest donor in pediatric cancer research. I am once again asking for your help. I don’t have as much hair as I did when I started 13 years ago, but I love being involved every year.
So please donate if you can…Share and help spread the word…or come to the event on March 8th and help show your support.
Did you know, 1 in 5 kids diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. won’t survive? For those who do, more than 96% have severe or life-threatening conditions by the time they are 50.
Each shaved head, every dollar donated, creates a ripple effect of progress for kids with cancer.
Your gift will give kids and their families hope, supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
Together, let’s give these kids the lifetime they deserve. Thank you for your support!
