When I look back on 2011, participating in the St. Baldrick's event has been the highlight of the year for me. I had the great pleasure of being part of a large group of really nice people who got together one day in September to have a lot of fun supporting one of the greatest causes I know of: funding research to find better cures and treatments for childhood cancers. I am so grateful for those who organized and worked at the event, my fellow participants, those who came out to be with me that day, and all those who have supported me and this cause (financially, verbally, etc). Thank you, thank you, and thank you. It has been really meaningful for me.
If you would like to support St. Baldrick's, time never runs out: Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail. Cash can be given to me to submit on your behalf (With your e-mail or snail-mail address, so St. Baldrick's can give you a receipt).
Side note: Many have asked if I'll be donating my hair, or have commented that their hair isn't long enough to donate. I want to clarify that this event is not affiliated with any of the wig-making charities, and also that most of those wigs tend to go to children with Alopecia or other causes of *permanent* and complete hair loss, while the focus of this fundraiser is cancer-research. I personally will be donating my hair again, because it certainly is long enough, but that is not a requirement for this event.
