I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hey everyone. For those of you that don’t know, my younger sister Bridget lost her battle to cancer at the age of 12. She has been a huge inspiration and motivation throughout my life, and her battle with cancer is a huge reason I made the decision to go to medical school. I’m currently in my first year of medical school at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine and I’m helping run an event called “St. Baldrick’s Day”. This is an event where people shave their heads to both help raise awareness and raise money that gets donated to fund childhood cancer research. Childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded - and last year our school was able to raise nearly $15,000 thanks to your help.

Now I need your help again! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
