I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Maison to Montauk

This year, I’ll be shaving my head in honor of my next-door neighbor Bob, who lost his battle with cancer just after New Years. My best friend lost his father, and our whole neighborhood lost a good friend. No one should have to suffer through the hell that is cancer, and no one should have to go through the grief of losing a loved one to cancer, whether it be a child, a parent, a sibling, a friend,… and I’m hoping the money we raise this year with St. Baldrick’s will be able to help make a difference.

For our donation goal this year, in honor of Bob, my friends and I will be riding our bikes from his house in Holbrook all the way out to Montauk Point, which is about an 80-mile ride for any non-Long Islanders (yes Long Island is long). Two years ago my fundraising goal got blown out of the water so I’ve already started training for the ride (hoping the shaved head will make me more aerodynamic because I’ll need all the help I can get). So if you are able please consider donating, no amount is too small.
