I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Cleveland Fire Department

Every 3 1/2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer! Since its inception in 2000, St. Baldricks has raised more than $69 million for the cause. Worldwide 160,000 kids are diagnosed with cancer each year and despite tremendous progress, cancer remains the #1 disease killer of children in the U.S. and Canada. Because the treatment typically given to these youngsters causes their hair to fall out, we will be getting our heads shaved during this event in return for pledges of financial support for children's cancer research. I am joining my brothers from Cleveland Fire Department at Napper Tandy's Irish Pub in Raleigh, NC on Mar. 6th, 2010 where we will have our heads shaved in return for your financial support for children's cancer research. In addition to having my head shaved to raise money for this event, I also made a donation online. Please set aside a few minutes to do the same! St. Baldrick’s research grants help fill crucial funding gaps at medical institutions where children are treated for cancer, ensuring the finest care for every child. In the last five years alone the Foundation has awarded 57 fellowships and career development awards to train and develop the best new childhood cancer specialists, funded specific research and infrastructure grants at 80 institutions focusing on childhood cancer research and provided resources to more than 200 institutions engaged in cooperative research, helping enroll thousands of new children in clinical trials. If you know someone else that might be able to make a donation, please copy and paste the following link in your message to them... www.stbaldricks.org/participants/OleDean Thank you, in advance, for your assistance with making a difference in these children's lives!
