Welcome back for another year of St. Baldrick's!
For the 5th year in a row I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.
This year I will be honoring two wonderful kids! First is Madison Grace Beggs who was diagnosed with Primitive Neuroectodermal Tumor in 2010. Madison went through intensive chemotherapy and unfortunately her tumor came back, and she suffered side effects including losing her voice as well as her ability to walk, and eat. Madison was a strong kid battling each step of the way until her side effects became too much and she joined the Angels on June 4, 2012. Please remember Madison in your prayers and hearts when you click the "donation" button. The other child I'm honoring this year is Lauren M. who was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma in October of 2011. Lauren is an amazing child and has so much courage and inspiration! Thanks to all the doctors, St. Baldrick's and everyone's donations Lauren is cancer free and enjoys attending school. Unfortunately she still needs to have cat scans every 3 months for the next year. Lauren is a very energetic person who is on a swim team, loves the beach and some of her favorite foods are Mac n Cheese, linguini and clam sauce and pasta, especially, fettuccini alfredo. Her favorite animal is a Polar Bear and she hopes to travel to the Artic one day and see one in person. Lets continue to give Lauren that wish and click the DONATION button so she can continue to get the treatment she needs.
Now I need your help...THE KIDS NEED YOUR HELP! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
You can read more about these two wonderful kids as well as others at the St. Baldrick's website. While you are there, help every child that has cancer and help support the treatment by clicking on my link: http://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/MikeMilisivana
On behalf of the kids and St. Baldrick's - THANK YOU!
