I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

As a wife and a mom of two, I have a lot of memorable moments. Unfortunately nothing is more vivid than when I was told Connor had cancer. Cancer has a way of drowning any situation in negativity. Of course, its cancer, but I want to change what little I can. For my sons 'cancerversary' we celebrated. Instead of being in the hospital we took a trip to the beach, and it was perfect. We have held 3 blood drives. When I think of blood donation I think of all the amazing people who come out to support us and slowly that dulls the memories of Connor being so pale, bruised and drained of life. I want to associate my bald held with doing something amazing and not when Connor was at his sickest. I am shaving because all of these kids memorable moments deserve to be the best. I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
