I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?

I shave my head because this charity makes a difference in the lives of children with cancer and their families.

I shave my head because I too have felt the fear of a cancer diagnosis, in 2015 I was diagnosed with Melanoma in my right forearm. I was quickly given my options for treatment, surgery to remove the melanoma, hoping that it was enough. Turns out, it was I have been in remission for 9 years, I had answers to my diagnosis.

I want all cancers to have answers and treatments, especially those that effect children. I want a world where there is an end to the fear of a cancer diagnosis. St Baldrick's work makes this possible. Children are the future and the greatest joy in this world, we must protect them whenever and however possible. Donating to St Baldrick's funds that life saving research and allows all children to live happy childhoods.

Lastly, why should you care? Because life is not lived alone, we walk hand and hand together through it all. Someday you could be in this impossible place and you would want answers for your child. Let's work together to help change the futures of so many young lives. Thank you for your support and love, it is very much appreciated.
