What could possibly be more important than saving the life of a child?
Hi, I'm Kate, and I'm always going to be raising money for childhood cancer research! At our event, some folks will shave their heads – and others like me will keep the hair we have and put our hearts into supporting childhood cancer research. You might have noticed that it's something I'll do all year. During the pandemic, donations have been down sharply, which is a big deal since the St. Baldrick’s Foundation is the largest non-government supporter of childhood cancer research grants.
I want to make sure kids know we care. I want more research to save lives. Please support me with a donation. Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Those thousands of kids include our friends and our kid, who only finished maintenance treatment in 2020, despite showing no evidence of disease since August 2014 (that's a *huge* amount of NED time for her cancer!).
The research and trials that St. Baldrick's funds are at the forefront of pediatric cancer treatment. They are the future of treatment, and some of the best chances for kids like mine to live well past that five-year survival date that haunts every cancer parent. And Thalia has been on St. Baldrick's-funded trials and a drug--they have made a real difference in our lives and the lives of so many families like ours. Thank you for helping T and the kids diagnosed with cancer each day!
