I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Micah's Minions

I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Micah's Minions

I'm raising money for childhood cancer research! If you are surprised, let me explain: kids' cancers are different from adult cancers. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded--only about 4% of federal and private funding, split among the 100+ types of cancers. Now I need your help to fund research! Will you please make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Those thousands of kids include our friends and our son, who will just finish maintenance treatment this year, despite showing no evidence of disease since August 2014 (that's a *huge* amount of NED time for his cancer!). Too many cancers are aggressive enough that you can't stop treating a kid because the lingering microscopic disease can regrow even years later. The research and trials that St. Baldrick's funds are at the forefront of pediatric cancer treatment. They are the future of treatment, and some of the best chances for kids like mine to live well past that five-year survival date that haunts every cancer parent. And M has been on St. Baldrick's-funded trials and a drug--they have made a real difference in our lives and the lives of so many families like ours. Thank you for helping M and the 46 kids each day diagnosed with cancer each day.
