I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Lincoln 7th Grade

On March 8th, I am going to "Brave the Shave" one last time and get my head shaved in solidarity of all those kids who are battling or who have lost their lives due to cancer.  I am asking for your help in supporting me as I am fundraising to support the work of doctors trying to find cures for all childhood cancers. The two middle schools in our district have set a hefty goal this year of $500,000, after our last very successful campaign back in 2019 when we raised over $436,000.

Many of you know my own family's personal story of dealing with childhood cancer.  I am so thankful for the research and advancements in treatments that doctors have provided over the past 12 years. Yet, it is is still not enough, because in the US. alone 1 out of every 5 kids diagnosed with cancer before the age of 19 will not make it.  Why? The funding for childhood cancer research is still vastly underfunded.  Only 8% of the funds dedicated by the National Cancer Institute is assigned to childhood cancers.  8%!!!!

Any donation you can provide is greatly appreciated. My goal is that one day, every child who may be diagnosed with cancer hears the word "Hope" and knows there is a treatment plan for them.

Thank you!!!!
