I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Leukemia Slayer

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Leukemia Slayer

Ok so if you know me you know that I am no stranger to a bald head! My name is Jacob AKA The Leukemia Slayer. I was diagnosed with high risk acute lymphoblastic leukemia on December 2, 2010 when I was nine years old. I lost my hair during treatment a few times and quickly found out that a head gets pretty cold without hair! Leukemia treatment is very long, three and a half years for me, and I am proud to say I finished my treatment on March 22, 2014.

This will be my fourth year raising money for St Baldrick's by shaving my head. I can't think of a better way to celebrate FOUR YEARS off treatment than to do my part to help find better treatments and maybe one day even a cure for childhood cancer. Please celebrate with me by donating a few bucks to my fundraiser!

Childhood cancer research is sadly underfunded and that is why so many families that are affected by childhood cancer do fundraising to help find a cure. Every dollar makes a difference for all the kids who have cancer, who had cancer and who will have cancer in the future. Raising money to help find a cure for childhood cancer means a lot to me and I am very thankful to all my friends and family for their support, together we can help find a cure for childhood cancer!!!
